California Proposition 65:

In order to comply with California's Proposition 65, we have created this page.

According to California's OEHHA office,the California Governor must annually post a list of chemicals, that they believe are known to cause cancer, or birth defects. Any products sold in California, that contain a chemical in this list, must display a warning. You can view and download this list as a PDF file here: Chemical List. You can find out additional details by going to OEHHA's website. Any products sold on our site that may contain a chemical on OEHHA's list, will have the statement, "See CA Proposition 65", displayed on the details page for that product.

Our Statement on Prop. 65:
"Some of the products we sell here, according to OEHHA, may contain substances known to cause cancer, or birth defects. That does not mean these products contain enough of the substance to be a health hazard. For instance, some dyes / pigments may contain one of these substances. As another example, there is Cadmium in most tableware / silverware that you can buy anywhere, which is on the Prop. 65 list. But the manufacturers must meet strict EPA guidelines as to how many "Parts Per Million" the product can contain. However, we 'suggest' that the products that do have the "See CA Prop. 65" statement should be used as decorations, and not be constantly touched, for the storing of unwrapped foods, or to be used to eat with. However, with this said, consumers may use their own judgement, and use these products at 'their own risk', in any fashion they want. MS Specialty Services LLC will not be held responsible, or liable in any way, by not following our suggestion or OEHHA's guidance."
